The RiverTown Community – A Real Sense of Community

November 25th, 2013 · Leave a Comment

It is rare to find a real sense of community like what homeowners enjoy living in the RiverTown community.

Residents of St. Johns County’s only riverfront master-planned community enjoy a thriving environment where residents know their neighbors and become friends.

“It’s wonderful to see the RiverTown community flourish and friendships develop among neighbors,” said Melissa Zimmer, the community’s social director. “The community has an old fashioned sense of togetherness that has developed as a result of our community events. Our residents are connected to their neighborhood and their neighbors.”

Zimmer plans events and activities that encourage the spirit of community at the thoughtfully designed community located along the St. Johns River. More than 100 residents and guests recently attended the community’s Fall Festival and Chili Cook-off on the RiverHouse Lawn. The event featured a rock wall, pony rides, train rides and a bounce house for the kids while adults enjoyed socializing and sampling the chili recipe entries. Events like this help connect the RiverTown community residents with one another.

“The atmosphere is like something you would read in a storybook,” Zimmer said. “Our neighbors enjoy each other’s company and truly care about one another. They often recommend ideas for clubs and activities such as fitness groups and arts and crafts classes.”

Events are designed to offer something for everyone. First Fridays is a monthly social hour that makes it fun for new homeowners to meet others. Holiday themed potlucks and movie nights have also been popular.

If you’ve never been to the RiverTown community or haven’t visited recently, come see all that it has to offer. The RiverTown community has move-in ready homes available from three distinguished builders – David Weekley Homes, Dennis Homes and Mattamy Homes. Furnished models are open daily. Homes are priced from the $170’s to the $350’s.
