Association of Fundraising Professionals announces National Philanthropy Day honorees

The Association of Fundraising Professionals Florida, First Coast Chapter proudly announces the distinguished honorees for the National Philanthropy Day 2023 Awards.

This annual event, which celebrates philanthropy and the remarkable individuals and organizations making a positive impact on the community, will take place on Thursday, Nov. 2, 2023, at the Hyatt Regency Jacksonville Riverfront Hotel. AFP FL, First Coast Chapter’s National Philanthropy Day Committee is honored to have Kent Justice, News4Jax co-anchor and reporter, serving as Master of Ceremonies for this year’s event. The 2023 National Philanthropy Day honorees are:

Lifetime Achievement Award – Michael Ward

Nominated by Guardian Catholic School, Feeding Northeast Florida, City Year Jacksonville. Recognizing a lifetime of dedication and outstanding contributions to the world of philanthropy, Michael Ward is a beacon of inspiration for future generations.

Outstanding Champion of Diversity – Brandice Acree-Landing

Nominated by Pace Center for Girls, Jacksonville. Brandice Acree-Landing’s unwavering commitment to promoting diversity and inclusivity has made a profound difference in our community, fostering a more inclusive and equitable society.

Outstanding Corporation – THE PLAYERS Championship

Nominated by Baptist Health and Wolfson Children’s Hospital, Nemours Children’s Health, Pace Center for Girls, Inc. THE PLAYERS Championship has demonstrated exceptional corporate social responsibility, making significant investments in the betterment of our region.

Next Generation Award – Osprey Miracle Dance Marathon Executive Board
