The Community Foundation welcomes nonprofit organizations to apply for funding to support their work through seven grant opportunities that are open now, and more that will open later in the year. Explore all open grant opportunities at jaxcf.org/apply.
The Community Foundation annually awards about $3 million in grants through its Foundation-directed grantmaking and collective giving initiatives, supporting nonprofit organizations of all sizes, working on a variety of issues, and serving the entire six-county North Florida region.

Opportunities opening this month include:
Supporting Neighborhoods grants support nonprofit organizations focused on strengthening neighborhood leadership, improving access to affordable housing, and/or equitably expanding economic opportunity for marginalized residents of Northeast Florida. Grants are available up to $25,000. The application opens on January 2, 2024, and the deadline to apply is February 15, 2024.
A.L. Lewis Black Opportunity & Impact Fund grants support nonprofit organizations and programs/projects working within predominantly Black neighborhoods in Duval County, to uplift community health, education, and economic opportunities. Grants are available up to $2,000. The application opens January 2, 2024, and the deadline to apply is February 12, 2024.
LGBTQ Community Fund grants support nonprofit organizations in Northeast Florida (Duval, Nassau, Baker, Clay, Putnam, and St. Johns counties) that support our LGBTQ communities. Grants are available up to $10,000. The application opens January 2, 2023, and the deadline to apply is February 15, 2023.
Putnam County grants assist with improving the quality of life in Putnam County. The maximum grant amount ranges from $10,000 to $25,000, depending on the focus area. The application opens on January 2, 2024, and the deadline to apply is February 15, 2024.
College Scholarships are also now accepting applications for local students seeking post-secondary degrees in a variety of subjects. All applications are due by the close of business on March 15, 2024.
In addition, three grant opportunities opened in late 2023 and will close in January:
Small organization grants provide a special opportunity for small organizations with budgets of $150,000 or less. Grants are available up to $2,500. The deadline to apply is January 25, 2024.
The Women’s Giving Alliance is offering one-time grants of up to $50,000 to eligible nonprofits to provide funding focused on Client Basic Needs Support for women and girls. Grants are available up to $50,000. The deadline to apply is January 15, 2024.
The Beaches Community Fund is offering grants to nonprofit organizations serving residents from Mayport to Guana, with priority given to grantees offering supports for K-12 students, early learning opportunities for low-income students and support for the basic needs of beaches residents. The deadline to apply is January 12, 2024.
More grant opportunities open later in the year, including early childhood (April), aging adults (April) and small arts organizations (August). Individual artist grants are next offered in 2025.
